From left: unknown, Tuk Akarana (Waimauku), Nick Botica (in 2nd row, Whanganui), Harry Tei (Rarotonga), Jim Wharepapa (Gisborne) and Mike Teepu - later changed surname to Moke (Murupara). Places in brackets are where they were living at the time of enlistment. Tuk Akarana and Mike Teepu are deceased.
