Transcript:

There's another photograph of you here getting a haircut in a Montagnard village in July 1973.

Kontum [name of village].

Typically where would you have got your haircut?

Oh like that – anywhere. The barbers and carpenters, people selling bread. All sorts of people – just street traders. So you'd get your haircut and get your toenails trimmed – get your teeth filled.

And what were the haircuts you got like?

Oh not bad. I didn't know – didn't take any notice [laughs].
