Protestors demonstrate against the visit of South Vietnamese Premier Nguyen Cao Ky, 1967

Protestors gathered outside the Star Hotel in Auckland to demonstrate against the visit of South Vietnamese Premier, Nguyen Cao Ky.

The evening demonstrations against Ky on 24-25 January 1967 were the largest and most eventful anti-war actions seen up to that time and received unprecedented press coverage. A total of 2400 people took part and 21 protesters were arrested over the two nights.
