My name is James Barrie Leslie, but are known by the name of Barrie. I joined the New Zealand Army as a Compulsary Military Trainee in 1956 and volunteered for the Territorial Army my Unit was the 1st Field Hygeine Section of the Royal New Zealand Army Medical Corp No 344671. I originally trained at Burnham and then was based at Rutland Street in Auckland. In 1968 I came of to Sydney and about 12 years ago I joined the NZ RSL Sub-Branch in Sydney and in conjunction with Margaret Snow of the Royal New Zealand RSA, I handle welfare work for NZ veterans in NSW. I am a member of the Titirangi RSA in Auckland.
