Mahora toured Vietnam three times with the Maori Volcanics showband as vocalist. First TOD was based in Da Nang, then later TOD's were based in Saigon. First TOD was 5 January to 20 June 1967, second TOD was 15 August to 10 October 1967, last TOD was March to September 1968. Medals were presented by The Governor General HE Lieutenant General Sir Jerry Mateparae at Government House Auckland on 20 July 2016.
