Richard Keirn, 1971

I remember serving with 1NZATTV at Chi Lang, Chou Doc Province, South Vietnam from 1971 to 1972. I was a Sergeant in the United States Army Corps of Engineers and was an Advisor with my Construction Equipment.

It was the best duty that I ever had.

When the Team was withdrawn in 1972 I accompanied them to New Zealand, where I had the opportunity to tour the North and South Islands. During this trip I was made an Honorary Member of the Corps of Royal New Zealand Engineers and awarded the Corps of Royal New Zealand Engineers Badge. See related images.
